a different kind of jeweler
Mike wanted to create a different kind of jewelry shopping experience for the Southeast, unlike what many had come to expect from shopping other retail jewelers. Mike understood that many jewelry buyers, especially young engagement ring shoppers, wanted something more comfortable, fun, and inviting. To accomplish that, he decided to build the D. Geller & Son showrooms founded on people first, while also building the largest selection of jewelry in Atlanta, spanning all budgets and all tastes. The showrooms were more about comfort and facilitating conversation; fun environments to create lifelong relationships.
Over time, Mike's way of showcasing his people and jewelry made the D. Geller & Son the number one destination for those getting engaged. D. Geller & Son eventually expanded into Kennesaw, then Sandy Springs, taking care to preserve their iconic place in the heart of the jewelry industry.
Mike’s son, Jonathan, followed in his footsteps, spending much of his childhood in the busy Cobb Parkway store in the 1990’s. He polished his first rings in elementary school, learned to set diamonds in middle school, and apprenticed as a jeweler throughout high school. Eventually, Jonathan commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army. He completed his service as a Captain in the 4th Infantry Division and returned to D. Geller full-time in 2022. Today, Jonathan can be found polishing rings, assisting customers, and wiping showcases… Mike is still the boss, after all.
